Bilingual DJ
for weddings in Mallorca

A couple from one country, family from another and a venue in Mallorca. Here is how we handle an international wedding with support in English and Spanish, and the DJ packs that fit.

Many weddings in Mallorca are international: the couple lives in another country, guests fly in from several and the venue and wedding planner work in more than one language. In that context a DJ is not just music: it is someone you must be able to coordinate with without translators.

This guide explains how we do it in weddings and with our DJ service: support in English and Spanish, coordination with international planners and venues and the playlist prepared with you phase by phase.

01 — What bilingual means

What does it mean to have a bilingual DJ for your wedding?

In our case it means support in English and Spanish: you can explain the wedding, finalise the playlist and settle questions in either language, and so can whoever coordinates with you (wedding planner, venue or family).

It is not a small detail at a destination wedding: most music mistakes come from instructions misunderstood, not from a lack of repertoire.

Mallorca tip

If you need another language for a specific moment (a toast, an announcement), tell us in your quote request so we can confirm it instead of assuming it.

02 — The music

How is the music prepared for an international wedding?

We prepare the playlist with you phase by phase: ceremony, cocktail, dinner and party. At a wedding with a mixed crowd it pays to decide what plays in each phase and what is left for the dance floor.

The DJ plays house, deep house, techno, disco, funk, pop, Latin and chill-out, always adapted to the event. And if you want to combine the DJ with a saxophonist, percussionist, singer or band, we coordinate it.

Ceremony and cocktail

Music that accompanies without drowning conversation; with live musicians, the technician handles the transitions with the set.

Dinner

Even background that lets guests from different countries talk.

Party

Dance-floor repertoire for a mixed crowd: what everyone knows, what the couple asks for and the key moments.

03 — Coordination

How does the DJ coordinate with the wedding planner and the venue?

We work with wedding planners and international venues in Mallorca, so coordination does not fall on you. We share the key times, the zones to be used and what the venue allows.

For the music cut-off time, decided by the venue’s licence and the municipal ordinance, see our guide to music at fincas: hours and noise. And if the wedding is at a finca, our guide to sound for a finca wedding explains what each zone needs.

04 — Packs and prices

What DJ packs are there and how much do they cost?

The FØNØY Sound DJ packs, with indicative prices:

Pack Price Who it is for
DJ Session Packfrom €1.000Up to 4 hours, at a venue that already has its own sound.
DJ + Sound Pack€1.800–€3.000Recommended up to 150 people, with a sound system and an on-site technician.
Full DJ Packfrom €3.000Recommended for more than 150 people, with lighting and full technical production.

Every wedding is quoted by duration, guest count, location and technical needs. What each pack includes is detailed in our guide to wedding DJ prices.

05 — Quote

How do I request a DJ quote for an international wedding?

With the date, place, guest count, whether the venue already has sound and the language you prefer us to speak, we send you a DJ quote in under 24 hours. It is free and without obligation.

If someone else coordinates (wedding planner, relative), send us their contact and we talk to them directly.

Note

Support is in English and Spanish. Prices are indicative and refer to the packs published on fonoysound.com; the final quote depends on duration, guest count, location and technical needs.
